If you host in Central America or the Caribbean, you can now charge guests through Tilopay right inside Mangobeds. Guests pay with local and international cards through a familiar checkout, while you keep clean reconciliation in one place.
Before you start (what you need)
- An active Tilopay merchant account.
- Your Tilopay API Key, API User, and API Password.
- Your Mangobeds property currency set to a currency supported by your Tilopay account (for example, CRC for Costa Rica, USD for USD-enabled accounts).
Where to find them in Tilopay
- Log in to your Tilopay dashboard: app.tilopay.com.
- Go to Platform Integrations in the sidebar.
- On the Connection credentials card, pick API as the platform.
- Copy the three values:
- API Key
- API User
- API Password
Heads-up: the API User and API Password are shown only once. Store them somewhere safe — you won’t be able to view the password again from the dashboard.
Supported countries
Tilopay operates across 27+ countries in Central America and the Caribbean, including Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Belize, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, Barbados and more. Onboarding is fastest in Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala, where Tilopay acts as a full payment facilitator. In other supported countries, you’ll typically need a merchant relationship with a partner bank like BAC Credomatic or First Atlantic Commerce.
How to set it up in Mangobeds
- Go to: Property → Settings → Payment Accounts → Connect
- In Create a new payment account, choose Tilopay as the provider.
- Paste the credentials:
- Tilopay API Key
- Tilopay API User
- Tilopay API Password
- Save to create the payment account, then Connect it to the property.
Heads-up: once a property is linked to a payment account, you can’t swap providers on that property without removing the connection first.
