Choosing coliving software gets a lot harder the moment you run more than one home, in more than one country. ESCAPE runs two: ski chalets in the Swiss Alps and seaside villas on the coast of Crete. This is how they manage both on a single coliving software platform, after trying five others first.

About ESCAPE
ESCAPE is a coliving and coworking brand founded by Fanny and Haz, built around one idea: reinventing the way we live, work and learn. They run two homes in two countries, each with its own season and its own character.
- Swiss Escape: two 4-star chalets in Grimentz, a village in the Val d’Anniviers at 1,500m in the Swiss Alps. Billed as the first coliving and coworking space in Switzerland, it hosts up to 15 guests across 8 bedrooms, with skiing and snowshoeing in winter and hiking and climbing in summer.
- Greek Escape: seven luxury villas near Rethymno on the coast of Crete, 30 bedrooms for up to 50 people, surrounded by olive groves and sea breezes, with Starlink-powered coworking. Open from November to May, it is a warm-winter escape for remote workers when the Alps turn cold.
Both fill with the same kind of crowd: freelancers, founders and remote workers who want focus, community and a bit of adventure in the same place. Think fondue and raclette nights in the mountains, weekly dinners and masterminds by the sea, and a community that actually shows up.
The challenge: one brand, two countries, five booking systems
Running two coliving homes in two countries is a logistics puzzle most booking systems were never built for:
- Two currencies (Swiss francs in Grimentz, euros in Crete) and two opposite seasons to price and manage
- Week-and-month-long stays, not nightly hotel bookings, with seasonal rates that change through the year
- A community side (events, dinners, experiences) that needs to be sold and tracked, not lost in side chats
- A brand that should feel like ESCAPE end to end, including the booking flow guests actually touch
Before Mangobeds, Fanny and Haz tried five different booking systems looking for one that understood coliving instead of a hotel pretending to.
“After trying 5 other booking systems, this one is perfect if you run a coliving space.”

What changed with Mangobeds
1) Two countries and two currencies, one account
Swiss Escape charges in Swiss francs, Greek Escape charges in euros, and both run under one ESCAPE account with consistent reporting across the brand. Fanny and Haz get the full picture of two properties in two countries without stitching spreadsheets together. It is the same multi-country, multi-currency setup that lets brands like Co.404 run coliving across LATAM on one login.
2) Built for week-and-month stays and seasons
Coliving is not nightly hotel stays. Guests come for a week or a month, and prices move with the season: ski-season peaks in the Alps, a November-to-May window in Crete. Mangobeds handles seasonal rates and long-stay pricing natively, so the right price shows up automatically instead of being patched in by hand.
3) Community experiences sold in the same flow
Fondue nights, workshops, masterminds and weekly dinners are a big part of why people choose ESCAPE. With Mangobeds, those extras are sold and tracked inside the same system guests use to book their stay. The community stays the focus, while the accounting behind it stays clean.
4) A booking flow that feels like ESCAPE
The booking forms were styled to match the ESCAPE brand, fonts included, so the jump from website to checkout feels like one continuous experience rather than a hand-off to generic software. Channels like Airbnb and Booking.com stay in sync through the built-in channel manager, so the calendar never fights itself.
5) A team that co-creates with them
What sealed it was the team. ESCAPE was migrated over from their previous system, and their feedback has gone straight into the product. In Haz’s words, the Mangobeds team is “cocreating this booking process with you to make it seamless”.
“Don’t look elsewhere, this is it.”

Why ESCAPE chose Mangobeds as their coliving software
After five booking systems, Fanny and Haz found coliving software built around how coliving actually works, across two countries and two seasons, without the operational plumbing getting in the way of the community they are really there to create. You can read more Mangobeds customer stories or see how Mangobeds works for your own spaces.
