About Nine
Nine Coliving is one of the first community-first coliving spaces located in the historic center of La Orotava, Tenerife. It’s the kind of place built for longer stays, slow living, and real connections, not weekend churn.

The reality of a small coliving: gaps happen
Nine is very intentional with their model: minimum stay is 2 weeks, with discounts for 1 month and 2 months because the community works better when people stay longer.
But longer stays come with a classic headache: availability gaps.
A cancellation leaves a weird hole. A guest wants dates that almost fit, but not perfectly. And if the booking engine says “no availability,” the booking is usually gone, even if there’s a way to make it work. Specially in Popular areas with other available colivings.
Nine already knows this pain, which is why they even have a “Cowaiting” integration to get notified when cancellations open up dates.
Booking requests that protect the community
Nine is community-first, so it’s not just “who pays first gets the room”. They need to make sure guests are a good fit.
With Mangobeds, Nine can use booking requests instead of instant bookings. When a request comes in, they can ask guests everything they need upfront, review the info, and only then confirm.
Once they approve the guest, Mangobeds can automatically send the confirmation and collect the deposit, so the process stays smooth and professional without adding more admin.
Running extras is easy (and doesn’t break the flow)
Nine isn’t just beds and rooms. A lot of the value is in the little shared moments: yoga sessions, family dinners, and other add-ons that make guests feel part of something.
With Mangobeds, they can set up, edit, and charge for extras directly in the same system guests use to book their stay. No awkward spreadsheets, no “can you PayPal me later?”, and no losing track of who joined what. It keeps ops clean, and it keeps the experience feeling smooth and human.
Why Mangobeds (built for how coliving actually works)
Nine didn’t need a “hotel PMS”. They needed software that understands coliving: longer stays, community-first operations, and a small team that can’t spend the day doing admin.
Mangobeds fit because it’s made for coliving from day one, so the setup matches their reality instead of fighting it:
- Long-stay logic that makes sense for coliving: minimum stays, longer-stay pricing, and a booking flow designed for people who stay weeks, not nights.
- Booking requests + screening: collect the right info from guests, approve the right fit, then confirm and charge the deposit automatically.
- Gap handling without killing the vibe: keep the calendar healthy and reduce awkward empty nights between longer stays, without switching to short-stay mode.
- Extras are easy to run: easily create, edit, and charge for things like yoga sessions, family dinners, and other add-ons in the same system, without messy manual tracking.
- Support that feels like a partner: when Nine has a suggestion, the team responds fast and helps adapt the product to what they actually need, not what a generic hotel tool thinks they need.
In short: Mangobeds lets Nine keep the community feeling light and human, while the boring operational stuff stays under control.
