Managing Seasonal Rates in Mangobeds

Seasonal rates are a powerful way to maximize your revenue during high-demand periods such as holidays, summer vacations, or special events like Christmas. By adjusting your prices to reflect market demand, you can ensure your property is competitively priced while maximizing profitability.

Creating Seasonal Rates

Follow these steps to set up seasonal rates for your accommodations:

Step 1: Navigate to Accommodations

  • Log in to your Mangobeds dashboard.
  • Go to the Accommodations section in the main menu.

Step 2: Access Seasonal Rates

  • Locate the Seasonal Rates section.
  • Click on it to open the seasonal rates group configuration page.

Step 3: Create a New Seasonal Rate

  • Click New one (or the add button) to create a new seasonal rate.

Step 4: Set Up Your Seasonal Rates

  • Select Start and End Dates: Specify the period during which the seasonal rates will apply.
  • Select Days of the Week (optional): Choose which days this seasonal rate should apply to (e.g. only Fridays and Saturdays for weekend pricing). If you don’t select any days, the seasonal rate applies to all days in the date range.
  • Set the Seasonal Price: Enter the new price you want to charge during this season for the accommodations you want.
  • Review and Save: Double-check the dates, days, and price to ensure accuracy, then click Save.

Common use cases

  • Seasonal pricing: Increase or decrease the pricing depending on high or low season.
  • Weekend pricing: Apply a higher rate only on Fri/Sat (or Fri/Sat/Sun depending on your policy).
  • Weekday pricing: Set a different rate for Mon–Thu.
  • Special combos: Boost only Sat–Sun, or create custom patterns for events/peak demand.

Additional Notes

  • Seasonal rates will automatically override standard rates for the specified period and selected days.
  • You can set up multiple seasonal rates for different periods and day combinations (Christmas, summer, weekends, etc.).
  • The Seasonal rates pricing type must be the same as the accommodation base price. If you have a flexible price depending on the number of guests in the accommodation, then the seasonal rate has to be flexible. If you want to change it please delete the seasonal rates and update the accommodation price first.

Managing Existing Seasonal Rates

You can edit or delete seasonal rates as needed:

  • Editing Seasonal Rates: Locate the seasonal rate you wish to adjust, make the necessary changes (dates, days of week, price), and save them.
  • Deleting Seasonal Rates: Select the seasonal rate and click the delete icon to remove it from the list.

By utilizing seasonal rates effectively, you can optimize your revenue strategy and ensure your property remains competitive throughout the year. Start setting up your seasonal rates today and make the most of high-demand periods!
