Managing your space efficiently starts with setting up your accommodations correctly. In Mangobeds, creating accommodations is simple and allows you to fully customize your offerings. This guide will walk you through the steps of creating accommodations on the platform, ensuring you get the most out of Mangobeds.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access the Accommodations Section
- Log into your Mangobeds account and navigate to your Property.
- Select the property for which you want to add accommodations.
- Click on the Accommodations tab to start creating them.
2. Click “New”
At the top right of the accommodations page, you’ll see a button labeled New. Click it to open the accommodation creation form.
3. Enter Accommodation Details
You will need to fill in the following information:
- Name: Choose a descriptive name for your accommodation, such as “Double Room with Garden View” if it is a room or “Bed in shared dorm” if it is a bed.
- Description: Provide a brief description and features. For example: “This accommodation includes a private bathroom, a balcony, and complimentary Wi-Fi.”
- Max Guests: Define the maximum number of guests that can stay in this accommodation.
4. Set Pricing
This is the base price for your accommodation.
- Fixed Price: If your accommodation has a single price regardless of the number of guests, select the Fixed Price option and enter the nightly rate.
- Flexible Pricing: If you want to charge differently based on the number of guests, select Flexible Pricing. You will then enter rates depending on guest count (e.g., €50 for 1 guest, €80 for 2 guests).
Important: The price you set here is the default/base price and will stay in place forever (until you change it). Think of it as your “standard price” for the whole year. Later, you can set up seasonal rates to make prices lower or higher for specific dates or seasons, without needing to edit the accommodation again.
5. Add Media
- Upload images of your accommodation. Be sure to choose photos that highlight the accommodation’s best features.
- The order of the media will be the order in which they have been uploaded. You can then highlight one as the cover.
8. Creating Units (Actual Rooms)
Once an accommodation is created, you will need to create units, which represent the actual rooms available for booking. For instance, if you have multiple identical rooms under one accommodation, like “Double Room with Garden View,” each actual room will be a separate unit.
- Specify how many units (rooms) you have of each accommodation.
- For example, if you have 5 double rooms in the same accommodation, you can create one accommodation and add 5 units. These units will then be available individually for guests to book.
9. Save Your Accommodation
Once all the details are filled out, click Save. Your new accommodation and its units will be available for bookings on your Mangobeds platform, and guests can view availability and make reservations seamlessly.
