High-season buzzing? Low-season gaps? Seasonal Restrictions let you update your minimum and maximum night rules by date, so you can raise the bar when demand is hot and drop it when you need to fill rooms.
Why use Seasonal Restrictions?
- High-season control: Increase minimum stays to lock longer bookings.
- Gap-filling: Reduce limits mid-week or off-peak to attract quick stays.
- Bulk editing: Apply one rule across multiple accommodations in seconds.
- Priority logic: Seasonal Restrictions override your default rules in Booking Forms and the Channel Manager.
How restrictions work (Booking Form vs Channels vs Seasonal)
Mangobeds has 3 places where stay restrictions can live:
1) Booking Form Restrictions (only affects direct bookings or requests)
If you only want to change what guests can book on your Booking Form, go to:
Booking Forms → Settings → Restrictions
This will only impact bookings coming through your Mangobeds booking form, not OTAs.
2) Channel Restrictions (only affects OTAs / channels)
If you want to change restrictions for Airbnb, Booking.com, etc, go to:
Channel Manager → Settings -> Restrictions
This controls what you send to OTAs, not your direct booking form.
3) Seasonal Restrictions (overrides both)
If you create a rule in:
Accommodations → Seasonal Restrictions
…it will override both:
- Booking Form Restrictions
- Channel Manager Restrictions
Best practice (what we recommend)
- Set a default restriction in your Booking Form (your usual direct booking rules).
- Set a default restriction in your Channel Manager (your usual OTA rules).
- Use Seasonal Restrictions only when you need a temporary override by date (high season, events, low season promos, etc).
How to create a Seasonal Restriction
- Go to Accommodations → Seasonal Restrictions
- Click New
- Name it (example: “Summer Min 5 Nights”)
- Pick the Start and End dates
- Set your Min Stay and/or Max Stay
- Select the accommodations this rule should apply to
- Hit Save
You’ll see it in the list right away. You can edit or remove it anytime.
